Why is a protection plan better than renters’ or homeowners’ insurance?

Homeowners and renters typically only cover for ‘perils’ like fire, vandalism and theft. SCW typically protects against accidental damage on portable devices or mechanical breakdowns where your insurance plan may not.

Can I cover a device that is not yet paid in full or leased?

Yes. We just need documentation to establish your ownership.

Can I add items that are older or used to my SCW Plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SCW plans cover devices up to three years old that have no pre-existing conditions. All products registered must be free from all defects and less than 3 years old.

What is the coverage limit?

The maximum payout per twelve month period is $2,500 per plan.
